C4 and Henry Holland undress the secrets of 'The Changing Room' (w/t)

Category: News Release

The changing room, the inner-sanctum of the high-street store. A place for relatively private reflection. Until now. Channel 4 is set to rig the fitting rooms of House of Fraser, New Look, H&M, Monsoon and River Island and enlisting fashion expert Henry Holland ,in a bid to undress all of the drama, secrets, bitingly honest opinions and clandestine goings-on that occur in ‘The Changing Room’ (3x60’), RDF Television, a Zodiak Media Company.

Over half of us have cried in one and three quarters have got stuck in an outfit in one. We spend 37 billion pounds on clothes each year, yet one in three women admit to buying outfits that they never wear, which is why Henry Holland is mounting a high-street intervention in some of our favourite stores in an attempt to find out just what goes on.

Henry will be aiming to help shoppers with their wardrobe woes and sharing his top tips on what to buy and what not to buy as well as capturing all of the tears, tantrums and triumphs that the fixed rig set up allows. He’ll also be meeting an entertaining mix of customers and introduce us to their friends, frenemies, bored husbands and bossy Mums alongside a group of fun, friendly and opinionated shop assistants who will return each week.

Commissioning Editor, Features, Gill Wilson says, “The Changing Room is a fascinating world of triumph, disaster and Spanx. The series will provide insight and humour via the rig and topical take-out from Henry.

Executive Producer, Andrew Anderson, RDF Television, says, We’re delighted to be working with Henry on this commission for Channel 4. The amazing access granted by some of the high streets very best stores, alongside Henry’s unique approach to fashion, should provide a warm, entertaining and revealing watch
