C4's General Counsel Prash Naik named In-House Lawyer of the Year

Channel 4’s outgoing General Counsel Prash Naik has been named In-House Lawyer of the Year at the prestigious The Lawyer Awards 2017.
Prash has been the broadcaster’s General Counsel for the past three years having joined Channel 4 more than 20 years ago. He is stepping down to move to Sydney with his family and due to leave later this year. Prash will continue to advise TV and film producers in both London and Sydney.
In his role as General Counsel Prash leads the programme legal and compliance team and also is responsible for the governance legal team working on data protection, corporate governance, freedom of information and regulatory issues. During his time at Channel 4 Prash has been at the forefront of supporting creative risk-taking and is widely recognised as the ‘go to’ lawyer to get challenging content to air.
Prash was one of eight on the shortlist for the In-House Lawyer of the Year Award which was held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel last night (27.06.17).
