Channel 4 Acquires Eating Well With Hemsley + Hemsley

Category: News Release

Channel 4 has acquired the UK premiere broadcasting rights to the BBC Worldwide original series Eating Well With Hemsley + Hemsley, the new series will launch on Channel 4 in April.

Jasmine and Melissa have won over the likes of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Jamie Oliver (whose production company Fresh One is making their new series) with their internationally best-selling cookbooks The Art of Eating Well and Good + Simple,  as well as their popular YouTube channel. The sisters share a passion for delicious, nutrient-dense cooking and advocate a simple, healthy approach to life that stretches beyond the kitchen. The girls have made bone broth, spiralizing and cauliflower ‘rice’ household names that will hit the big time now on the menu of their first café opening at Selfridges London in April.

In Eating Well With Hemsley + Hemsley, the talented siblings turn simple ingredients into delicious, nourishing food to be enjoyed every day.

Hemsley + Hemsley recipes are gluten, grain and refined sugar-free. Counting ingredients and taste, not calories, the girls’ culinary creations don’t skimp on flavour and shun frills and fad dieting.

Channel 4 viewers can look forward to show-stopping succulent slow-roasted lamb with anchovies and creamy cauliflower mash, dark chocolate molten pots with baked figs and protein-packed cranberry and quinoa breakfast bars. And there are healthy new takes on classic comfort food including a rich ragu with courgetti, spicy Southern-fried chicken and tender fish fingers baked in the oven and a hearty, wholesome fish pie.

Recipes from each episode will be made available on Channel4.com for viewers to download and enjoy.

Jasmine Hemsley says, “Our mouths are watering at the prospect of sharing these tasty, healthy and easy to make recipes with Channel 4’s viewers!”

Melissa Hemsley adds, “I can’t wait to see our readers’ reaction to our new TV show and this is a fantastic opportunity for us to reach out to a wider audience.”

Andrea Olsonn, Head of Factual Entertainment and Executive Producer says, “We're delighted to be working with Jasmine and Melissa and bringing their inspiring brand of healthy living to a wider audience. The Hemsleys are a perfect fit for our slate and roster of passionate talent with global appeal.”

Eating Well With Hemsley + Hemsley is a Fresh One production for BBC Worldwide and Foxtel in association with Hemsley and Hemsley Limited.

The series is distributed by BBC Worldwide globally as Hemsley+Hemsley: Healthy and Delicious.
