Channel 4 appoints three new All 4 Commissioning Editors

Category: News Release

Channel 4 today announced it has appointed Joshua Buckingham, Pegah Farahmand and Thom Gulseven to three brand new Commissioning Editor roles for All 4. The All 4 commissioning team will curate digital-first content for All 4.

Reporting to Charlie Palmer, Managing Editor of All 4, they will be responsible for commissioning and curating a range of themed collections – incorporating original and acquired short, mid and long-form programmes – which invite viewers to explore different subjects from a variety of angles.

The original and acquired shows will feature alongside live TV, catch-up from Channel 4’s broadcast channels and box sets of iconic series, helping to establish All 4 as an OTT destination for UK audiences.

Through Charlie, the All 4 commissioning team will work into Head of All 4 and Digital Content, Richard Davidson-Houston. Editorial leadership for original content will be provided by Deputy Chief Creative Officer, Ralph Lee.

Previously, Joshua was a producer for the Endemol Shine Group and has also freelanced across a range of comedy and entertainment productions. Pegah joined Channel 4 from Vice Media last year to take up her current post as editor for Random Acts, a role she will retain in addition to working on All 4. Thom was previously a Senior Producer within Channel 4 Online and has also held content editor posts at MSN and Elsevier.

Charlie Palmer, Managing Editor of All 4 said: “Joshua, Pegah and Thom share a passion for pushing the boundaries in how stories can be told in an ever-changing landscape. Their collective experience and individual brilliance will, I'm certain, ensure All 4 becomes a destination of choice for audiences, young and old. If this isn't a dream team, then shoot me now.”

Josh said: “Ten years ago I was making content for mobile phones that no one could download so it’s with great relief that times, viewing habits and technology has changed. I believe that Channel 4 has developed a really exciting vision and I can't wait to get started.”

Pegah said: “I’ve spent the last year or so at the channel watching All 4 grow and evolve into what is an incredibly innovative platform for digital content. It’s a real honour to be joining the team and to be part of building its future.”

Thom said: “I totally love the fact that audiences online enjoy revelling in their own niches and communities. I’m excited to play my part in serving some of those big communities with All 4.”

Supporting the Commissioning Editors in the origination and development of new series, the All 4 Commissioning team is completed by Todd Florance, Lizzy Keene and Daisy Mount as Editors for All 4.

All 4 currently has over 13 million registered viewers including over half of all 16-34 year olds in the UK.

Joshua, Pegah and Thom will take up their posts this summer.
