Category: News Release

Last summer our favourite socialites took a bite out of the Big Apple and this summer, they will be taking Los Angeles by storm in a brand new 6x60’ series.

Produced by Monkey, part of NBCUniversal International Television Production, the show will be filmed around Beverley Hills’s most stylish locations. Promising an insight into the LA social scene; watch as some of Chelsea’s favourite faces make new friends, party the night away and put their stamp on one of the USA’s most glamourous cities. How will the City Of Angels cope with a Chelsea takeover?

The BAFTA award-winning show will also celebrate its 100th episode on Monday 15th June with an immense E4 takeover. The cast will be taking over the channel in their own recognisable style; running havoc through the hallowed E4 halls from 8pm until 11pm to celebrate the milestone.

The takeover will begin at 8pm with the Rick Edwards hosted 100th Episode Special. Edwards will immerse himself in the world of Chelsea with a few surprise guests along the way. Made in Chelsea - the 100th Episode will air at 9pm followed by the Virtually Famous: Chelsea Takeover, with Chelsea panellists Spencer and Binky. At 11pm, viewers have the opportunity to take a look inside the homes, and cooking skills of Jamie, Toff, Louise and Alex on Come Dine With Me.

The new 6 x 60 series will air on E4 in summer 2015 and is commissioned by Channel 4 Head of Formats Dom Bird and Commissioning Editor Simone Haywood, and is executive produced by Monkey’s Ros Coward, David Granger and Sarah Dillistone.

With a dedicated fan base, series 9 is currently pulling in a total average of 1.2m viewers per episode; up 58% compared with E4’s slot average.

Executive producer Ros Coward says: “Los Angeles is a playground for the young, rich and the beautiful so it's going to be really exciting to see the cast embrace everything it has to offer. Whether they are hanging on beaches, shopping in Beverly Hills or partying on Sunset Boulevard I've no doubt we'll see everything we love about Made in Chelsea but times 100."

Head of Formats Dom Bird adds: “100 episodes of Made in Chelsea is an incredible milestone and we’ll be celebrating it in style on E4 by handing over the channel to the stars of SW3 for the entire evening, before they jet off to Beverly Hills for more high-end socialising.”
