Channel 4 commissions new daytime series Secret Removers

Category: News Release

Secret Removers is the brand new Channel 4 daytime series that aims to take the stress out of moving.

Each episode features one family who is about to move house and - unbeknown to them - the programme's crack team of designers hijacks their belongings and moves them into their new home. But there's a twist, as not everything will arrive with them. Instead, the designers use their intuition and design know-how to decide which of the family's belongings should stay and which should go - and how their new home will be made over.

Hoping to turn a hectic move into a serene one, the families will arrive to a ready-dressed new home rather than having to face the dreaded task of unpacking  - but will the new look be a dream come true or a living nightmare for the movers?

Secret Removers was commissioned by Channel 4 Daytime Commissioning Editor David Sayer and is being made out of Glasgow by Objective Scotland Productions. Executive Producer for Objective Productions is Paul Murray and Series Producer is Peter Smith. The 20 x 60 series is due to air on Channel 4 in May.

David Sayer said: "Secret Removers is a really innovative and fresh way to tackle the kinds of home make-over and interiors dilemmas we face, especially when we move house."

Objective's Paul Murray said: "This is a very exciting show, and we hope to sprinkle a little Objective know how and daring into the property genre. It's a gamble for our experts, which is what we hope makes it feel new and risky."
