Channel 4 have commissioned two further series of the popular George Clarke's Amazing Spaces.

George Clarke's Amazing Spaces has gone from strength to strength with the current second series building on the success of the first.  Series 2 is currently attracting an average audience of 2.5 million viewers per episode and a 10.5% share of audience.  This is a 7% increase on series 1 for volume and a 14% increase for share.  Compared with the channel's slot average, the show is up +35% for volume and up +40% for share, and its highest rating episode drew 3 million viewers.

The series will again follow people across Britain who are finding inventive ways to create beautiful spaces that don't blow the budget and can completely transform lives.

With unquenchable enthusiasm, architect George invites viewers to let their imaginations run wild as he celebrates the extraordinary world of small design spaces and unique builds: secret hideaways, space-saving retreats, eco-friendly bolt holes and reconditioned vehicles.  He shows that with careful planning, cunning design and masses of imagination, the unachievable is conceivable.

George Clarke's Amazing Spaces has been commissioned by Channel 4's Commissioning Editor, Features, Kate Teckman who says: “Amazing Spaces has really captured the imagination of viewers and over the next two series we will be able to show the pioneers of innovative design pushing the boundaries across an even more inspiring range of projects and budgets.”

The Executive Producer for Plum Pictures is Will Daws who comments: “Having two series commissioned at once means we can now include people undertaking longer and more complex small space builds to really show what’s possible with a small budget but a big imagination.”

Series 3 will go into production later this year with series 4 scheduled for next year.
