Channel 4 Distribution announces multiple Secondary Sales deals

Channel 4’s Distribution team today announces the sale of British feature film Set Fire to the Stars to BBC Wales, alongside a variety of programming to UKTV and London Live.
The BAFTA Cymru award-winning Set Fire to the Stars, produced by Mad as Birds, will sit at the heart of BBC Wales’ St David’s Day schedule for its UK TV premiere on Wednesday 1st March 2017.

The film exists because of the talented team that helped make it happen, Wales turned out for us and the fact that it keeps finding an audience is a credit to the passion of all involved - from the explosive chemistry between Elijah Wood and Celyn Jones, to Gruff Rhys's incredible score and Andy Goddard's beautiful direction it is an astonishing feat in independent film making.
4 Distribution have been critical in helping us realise this achievement, of bringing our American-indie that was shot in Swansea about a Welsh rockstar poet who was made in America, to a wider audience. Thank you Channel 4 and thank you BBC Wales, Dylan Thomas would approve.”
4 Distribution’s latest deal with UKTV includes comedy, factual entertainment and features programmes Black Books series 1-3 (Assembly Film and Television), Spaced series 1 and 2 (London Weekend Television), Jamie’s Superfood (Fresh One), The Mega Brothel (Keo Films) as well as Blakeway titles Prince Phillip: The Plot to Make a King,The British Middle Class, Ronnie Kray and the Pervert Peer and Prince John: The Windsor's Tragic Secret.

London Live will air comedy Crashing (Big Talk Productions) plus Film 4 titles Peter's Friends, Remember Me?, Shopping, Young visitors, A Private Function and Handmade Films’ Withnail & I, Nuns on the Run, Privates on Parade and How to get ahead in Advertising.
Channel 4’s Anne-Marie Pardoe, UK Secondary Sales Manager was responsible for negotiating these latest deals for Channel 4.
