Channel 4 greenlights three new contemporary drama series

Category: News Release

Head of Drama, Piers Wenger says:

“I’m delighted to be announcing a slate of brand new series for Channel 4 and E4.  2016 and 17 will see a consistent presence of topical, entertaining drama across the schedule and I’m excited to be working with a range of co-production partners to make these ambitious new series.

New for Channel 4, Loaded is a hilarious and prescient comedy drama series from Jon Brown - one of the funniest and rudest writers around. Exploring what it means to be rich beyond your wildest dreams at a time of life when your friends are almost certainly poor, Loaded is a truthful but comic portrait of a problem most of us can only dream of.

Foreign Bodies, a new comedy drama for E4, follows the experiences of five young travellers on an epic and hilarious quest to find paradise, while also trying to find themselves. Tom Basden’s script perfectly captures the pleasures and pain of a gap year going wrong.

Bryan Elsley is back with Kiss Me First, a truly ground-breaking series for E4 featuring state of the art animation sequences mixed with live action.  An emotional thriller, it follows the lives of a group of young gamers and through them explores the relationship between social media and self-image.
