Jay Hunt, Channel 4’s Chief Creative Officer said: “It’s thrilling to see Channel 4 receive the highest number of BAFTA nominations in its history across such a range of categories.  It’s a fitting tribute to the creativity and innovation shown by the producers we work with and everyone within the channel.”

The nominations span a range of genres, with drama Southcliffe (Warp Films) nominated for four awards including best Mini-Series and The IT Crowd (Retort) also receiving four, including Situation Comedy.  Channel 4 factual output continues its strong showing with nominations for Bedlam (The Garden), Educating Yorkshire (TwoFour), Richard III: The King in the Car Park (Darlow Smithson), The Murder Trial (Windfall Films) and Gogglebox (Studio Lambert) – with factual entertainment hit The Undateables (Betty TV) and features’ Grand Designs (Boundless) also nominated.  Acclaimed French supernatural drama, The Returned (Haut et Court), is nominated within the International category and Channel 4 News for News Coverage.
