Channel 4 says 'I do' to high end wedding dress designer

Category: News Release

How the Other Half Wed (w/t) was commissioned by Channel 4 documentaries Commissioning Editor Anna Miralis. This film looks at the high-end British wedding industry, with exclusive access to the work of Britain's elite couture bridal shop Caroline Castigliano, a world where money is no object.

How The Other Half Wed (w/t) will gain a unique and privileged insight into the world of how the other half wed from the moment they try on their dress to when they walk down the aisle. We will also find out what it’s like to make and design dresses for Britain's elite.

Caroline set up her first bespoke bridal boutique in 1991, specialising in classically unstated, yet contemporary wedding dresses. She was one of the first wedding dress designers to incorporate expert corsetry into wedding dresses. Caroline Castigliano is one of the UK's most sought after wedding dress designers. Her Knightsbridge boutique is situated on one of the most exclusive thoroughfares in London. Her customers include the rich, the royal and the famous.

Anna Miralis says: “This is a show that smuggles you into one of the most important moment in a woman’s life, finding her wedding dress. It is a fascinating insight into an elite world – a chance to see behind the doors of one of the most exclusive bridal boutiques in the country and see exactly how the other half wed."

Jes Wilkins, CCO of Firecracker Films adds: "This will be an eye opening film with fantastic access in to a world where no expense is spared in the pursuit of wedding day perfection."

The 1 x 60 documentary is being directed/produced by Emma Young, and executive produced for Firecracker Films by Tom Barry. It will air later in 2015
