Channel 4 signs Hilary Devey

Channel 4 has signed Hilary Devey in a two year exclusive deal.

Hilary is best known for being a hugely successful entrepreneur and for being one of the dragons on Dragon's Den.

Hilary's first Channel 4 series will see her fronting brand new factual entertainment series The Intern (w/t), which will offer talented, ambitious and deserving candidates a leg up the ladder in their chosen career by giving them the chance to win an internship with some of the most exciting employers in the UK.

To prove their mettle, the candidates will be thrown in at the deep end and, over the course of a week, will experience a super-charged version of life in their chosen field through a number of challenges and real-life scenarios devised to test their suitability for their chosen profession. Made by Boundless, this series is their big opportunity to prove they have the skills and personality required to make a break and secure the prized internship.

The Intern was commissioned by Channel 4 Head of Factual Entertainment, Liam Humphreys, and will air in the autumn.
