Channel 4's Alex Menzies promoted to Deputy Head of Features

Channel 4 today announced the promotion of Alex Menzies to Deputy Head of Features reporting directly into Head of Features & Daytime, Gill Wilson.

Alex is an experienced commissioner who has held a number of senior positions at both the BBC and Channel 5. Alex joined as Commissioning Editor, Features at Channel 4 in June 2013 and in which time has overseen Fill Your House for Free and commissioned Married at First Sight (wt), The Shut-Ins, Cooks’ Questions for More4 and Best and Final Offer.

At Five from 2005 to 2008, Alex was responsible for re-launching The Hotel Inspector with Alex Polizzi and commissioning Cowboy Builders. He then moved on to BBC Knowledge as Commissioning Executive Producer, Factual Formats & Features, and worked on a range of programmes including Delia Through the Decades, Rick Stein's Far Eastern Odyssey and Grow Your Own Drugs between 2008 and 2010.
