Coach Trip revs up for E4 summer series

Category: News Release

Coach Trip will be wheeling its way onto E4 for a brand new peak-time series in 2016. Building on the much-loved Channel 4 Daytime series, the coach will be taking a new batch of fun-loving Brits to some of Europe’s hottest spots for a sizzling summer holiday of a lifetime.

The series will see seven pairs of travellers hop on board for an international adventure aboard the coach.
Every day they’ll take part in exhilarating excursions but at the end of each day, the pairs will vote face to face to decide who they no longer wish to travel with. The couple who receives the most votes will receive a yellow card; two yellow cards will see them take home a red card and bid 'Adios!' to the coach to make way for a new couple.
The last pairs standing at the end of the 30 day tour will be in with a shot of winning an extended stay in the trip’s final glamorous, sun-soaked, party destination.

International tour guide and Coach Trip legend Brendan Sheerin will be put to the test as he takes charge of a young, lively crowd, keeping them in check as they embark on an incredible itinerary across the continent. He’ll be taking the tourists to some of the Med’s most iconic resorts, as well as a few undiscovered gems.

Applications have opened for travel obsessed contestants for the new 30 x 30’ series, which will be filmed and transmitted later this year.

The E4 series is commissioned by Formats Editor Simone Haywood and Head of Formats Dom Bird, and executive produced by Matt Walton and Ben Stevens for 12 Yard Productions.

Simone Haywood comments: “Coach Trip has won legions of fans on Channel 4 and we can’t wait to give the format a turbo injection ready for it to hit the road on E4 this summer.”

Matt Walton from 12 Yard Productions adds: “Viewers can expect the same sense of humour and adventure that have proved popular over the years but with a few new twists that will keep the tourists on their toes throughout – there’s no such thing as a safe seat in this popularity contest.”
