Coalition: First-look image from Channel 4's Nick Clegg drama

Channel 4 has released the first-look image from the broadcaster's upcoming political drama Coalition, which charts the emotionally wrought, politically-charged and often frenzied moments which led to Nick Clegg’s astonishing rise from rank outsider to the man who would decide the fate of the country.

Bertie Carvel (Babylon, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell), Mark Dexter (The Bletchley Circle, Ripper Street) and Ian Grieve (The Confessions of Gordon Brown) star as Nick Clegg, David Cameron and Gordon Brown in the original 90 minute single drama – which is written by James Graham, the acclaimed playwright behind political hits Privacy, This House and Tory Boyz.

BAFTA-winning Alex Holmes (Dunkirk, House of Saddam) directs. Coalition is produced by Cuba Pictures (Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, Broken) and was commissioned by Piers Wenger, Channel 4’s Head of Drama.
