Come Dine With Me set to crown its ultimate champions

Category: News Release

In a brand new take on Channel 4’s flagship Daytime show, previous winners will take part in a high-pressure tournament to be crowned a Come Dine With Me Champion of Champions (w/t).  Taking place in a large country manor house, long-running narrator of Come Dine With Me, Dave Lamb will step out from behind the microphone to present this brand new format.  The 20x60’ series will feature former contestants cooking against each other in a series of challenges; they’ll be marking one another’s efforts but also be judged by some special mystery guests who will bring a super critical edge to proceedings! After four days of heats, the daily winners will return to battle for that week’s title of Champion of Champions. Speaking on the commission, Channel 4’s Head of Daytime, David Sayer said: “Come Dine With Me has produced some unforgettable moments and people and this exciting new series will really celebrate the best of them, putting what they’ve learned in the kitchen to test in a high pressure cooking competition.”  Rachel Bloomfield, Executive Producer for Shiver said: "We’re so excited to be making this series. There've been some brilliant characters and fantastic cooks on Come Dine With Me over the years and now we'll get the chance to meet some of them again. Our recent Broadcast and Royal Television Society Awards for Couples Come Dine With Me were both amazing achievements for Shiver and the Come Dine With Me team and this new series is a great new opportunity to explore what else the brand has to offer."
