Dan has worked in TV for over ten years and specialises in high adrenalin/adventure series. He spends a huge amount of time away filming, enjoying a low key lifestyle when he is home with his partner and young children.

A regular competitor in triathalon’s he sees his body as a tool but is all too aware that the island will bring with it dangers. He thrives on pressure and enjoys putting himself into challenging environments.

Q:What is the key thing you will take away from your time on the island?

A: A huge respect for anyone who struggles. We've been lucky enough to experience a situation which presented us with a lot problems that many have to deal with on a daily basis, this is the main thing that I'll take away from my time on the island.

Q: Has your time on the island changed your perspective on life?

A: I haven't had a day pass yet where I've not thought about my time on the island. I'm constantly drawing comparisons between the simple and basic life I led on it compared to my very jumbled modern life. I've always been tempted by the potential for a much more basic lifestyle, but ironically still enjoy so much about the modern world I am inevitably very much locked and bound to. I did miss regular life and while it was an incredible struggle, I really enjoyed it, so with perspective, I’d say that it’s been enhanced through experience rather than changed.
