E4 to open its doors to a tattoo parlour with a difference

Category: News Release

E4 has commissioned The Tattoo Fixers (w/t) a new series which will open E4 viewer’s doors to a pop-up tattoo parlour with a difference. With three of the most talented tattoo artists in the UK at its helm, this parlour specialises in fixing and transforming the most extreme tattoo disasters into walking works of art.

With young Brits being amongst the most tattooed in Europe, it is no surprise that one in six reportedly ink before they think and live to regret it. The 8x60’ series ‘The Tattoo Fixers’ (w/t) will showcase some of the UK’s  most regrettable tattoos and delve into the stories behind how they came to be a very permanent fixture. Often hilariously funny, occasionally emotional, the series will tell the tales of how the bad ink made its way on to people’s bodies, before our tattoo artists completely transform them forever.

Whether it be an outrageously inappropriate image, the name of an ex, or a misspelled phrase chosen in haste, help will be on hand with the E4’s team of three talented expert tattoo artists. Each client coming to the pop-up parlour will have a consultation with the artists who will then offer their own unique ideas and designs to transform the tattoo disasterpiece into a masterpiece. The client will then be able to choose the design and artist they most want to fix their hated body art. At the end of each transformation, the finished design will be presented to the client in a big reveal as they see their new and improved body work for the first time.

‘The Tattoo Fixers’ (w/t) has been commissioned by Channel 4’s Editor of Formats, Simone Haywood and, Head of Formats Dom Bird and is being executive produced by Tim Harcourt and series produced by Matthew J. Smith at Studio Lambert.
