Extended synopsis of Real Life

In Electric Dreams: Real Life, Sarah (Anna Paquin) a policewoman living in the future, shares headspace with George (Terrence Howard) a brilliant game designer, as each pursue violent killers whose plans could have shattering consequences. Haunted by the horror of a recent massacre and suffering deeply from survivor’s remorse, Sarah is desperate to put her detective skills as a police officer to work in the hunt for the killer. Balanced by her loving wife, Katie (Rachelle Lefevre), she is given the gift of a VR “vacation” from her stressful and painful existence. But as the line between reality and virtual reality is blurred, Katie may be the only link between the two worlds. Stubborn and closed-off, George is the billionaire owner and founder of a successful tech company. Reeling from a traumatic death, and unexplainable memory loss, George seeks solace in one of his own inventions, a VR device that allows him to escape into another reality. Paula (Lara Pulver), a mysterious medical doctor, is one of George’s confidantes. However, as he battles his memory loss, it becomes clear that as much as she wants to help him, she may also be hiding something from him. In a race against time, and sharing a bond that no one else can see, Sarah and George learn the very thing that connects them may be the same thing that destroys them.
