Film4 celebrates success of Room

Huge congratulations to Lenny Abrahamson and all of the cast and crew who worked on Room, which last night won the People's Choice Award at the 40th Toronto International Film Festival. Described as “powerful” (Variety) and featuring “astonishing performances” (Time Out) from Brie Larsson and Jacob Tremblay, the film follows in the footsteps of 12 Years a Slave in taking home the award.

Based on Emma Donoghue’s book of the same name, Room will also feature in Official Competition at the London Film Festival next month.

Other Film4 titles which screened at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival were 45 Years, High-Rise, The Lobster, Youth & Dark Horse.
