Film4 films pick up 10 nominations for 2015 BAFTAs

Category: News Release

Film4 films have received 10 nominations in this year’s BAFTA’s, including nominations for both Yann Demange’s ’71 and Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin in the Outstanding British Film category. Mike Leigh’s critically-acclaimed and most commercially successful film to date, Mr. Turner, receives four nominations.

The nominations cement Film4’s position as a key force in the British film industry. In addition, the acknowledgement of debut directors Yann Demange (’71), Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard (20,000 Days on Earth) and star of '71 and Starred Up, Jack O'Connell, who features in the Rising Star category, further highlights our commitment to finding and nurturing British talent.

David Kosse, Director of Film4, says:

"We are thrilled that BAFTA have recognised the work of our filmmakers, of whom we're very proud. Huge congratulations to all our nominees and we wish them all the very best of luck at the awards."
