Give Me Fever

Category: News Release

Fever-Tree, the award-winning mixer drink company, will be launching their first TV advertising campaign after partnering with Channel 4’s Commercial Growth Fund which offers high growth companies the chance to build their business through TV advertising. Fever-Tree is only the second brand that the Fund has partnered with since its inception earlier this year.

Launching on the 19th November, the brand’s inaugural advert creates an emotive connection between Fever-Tree Tonic and the song Fever, made famous by Peggy Lee in 1958. Directed by Paul Weiland OBE through his creative agency Contagious London, an atmospheric bar scene is set, as rising talent Angela Ricci performs her soulful, contemporary re-recording of the iconic track. As she moves through the bar, singing and clicking in time to the music, the infectious beat starts spreading throughout the venue. As she arrives at the bar, she sings the final rousing lyrics, ‘Give me Fever’.

The 30-second spot will debut within Channel 4’s London and South regions and will run until the end of the year.

Fever-Tree Marketing Director Saskia Meyer comments: ‘Partnering with Channel 4 has provided an excellent, strategic opportunity to spread the Fever-Tree word to a broad audience. The campaign will enable us to test a medium that we wouldn’t have otherwise considered.’

Vinay Solanki, Head of Commercial Growth Fund at Channel 4, comments: ”We’re really excited to launch Fever-Tree’s very first TV ad campaign through our Commercial Growth Fund which will help this fast growing UK company to achieve significant brand awareness through TV, the most effective scalable advertising medium.”

Founded in 2005, Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow identified a need for good quality mixers to accompany the fast growing array of premium spirits available on the market. The pair travelled from the Congo to the Ivory Coast in pursuit of the highest quality ingredients for the range of 12 mixers. Since its launch, Fever-Tree has collected a vast number of awards, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise and most recently Best Selling & Top Trending Tonic Water in the Brands Report 2015 by Drinks International.
