Gordon faces new nightmare

Category: News Release

After taking on the worst restaurants in the UK and the US Gordon Ramsay returns to Channel 4 this summer with a brand new series and a new kind of nightmare.

Visiting the ex-pats who’ve got stuck abroad running struggling restaurants, B&Bs and guesthouses Gordon will step in to help their ailing businesses and repair the shattered dreams of those who tried to make a new life for themselves. For these Brits trying to make a living abroad life in the sun is not as easy as you’d think. The wolves are at the door, but the customers aren’t.

In this new 4 x 60’ series from Optomen Gordon will attempt to turn around four struggling businesses in classic holiday destinations.

Gordon knows better than anyone how to turn around a restaurant that’s in trouble, but what happens when everything is against him? Hostile locals, language barriers, local bureaucracy and a tourist industry on its knees – this is going to be tough, even for the toughest man in the business.

"Running a business can be tough and it can be a real nightmare when you are far from home and you feel like your dreams are being shattered. I am really looking forward to getting stuck in to this new challenge and taking the series into Europe," said Gordon.

Costa Del Nightmares will begin production in the spring.
