The series will follow Charlie Luxton on a quest to find the finest, quirkiest, most spectacular and truly unusual homes that can be found on Britain’s beautiful coastline.

The 6x 60 series, made by True North Productions and commissioned by Alex Menzies sees Charlie embark on a mission to find out what makes the perfect seaside home, what challenges come along with that spectacular sea view and what inspires the people who live in them and build them.

Renovated cottages, ambitious new builds, converted lighthouses and grand seafront terraces will open their doors as Charlie explores the remarkable variety of styles and architecture that feature around Britain’s coastal towns and villages.

Often traveling by boat to share a new perspective on Britain’s housing stock Charlie will be uncovering homes crafted from the landscape and revealing some ingenious designs that’ve produced homes against the odds. On the tour Charlie will taking the time to spend time with those who live and work on the coast and meeting those who have escaped the bustle of city living as well as those who have never known it any other way.

The architectural designer will also be offering up his own ideas on new houses and renovation projects being built by Britain’s latest wave of ‘coastal invaders’, offering suggestions on how to maximise the potential, and make the most of the fantastic seaside location.
