How to pull the perfect Super Bowl Sickie, by 4Creative

2014’s Super Bowl XLVIII broadcasts live on Channel 4 on Sunday 2nd February and in response to America’s biggest sporting event falling on a Sunday, 4Creative has designed the Super Sickie Service.

The Monday immediately following the Super Bowl coincides with the first Monday in February which is reported to see the highest number of people calling into work claiming to be sick than any other day of the year in the UK.

The tongue-in-cheek campaign’s website www.supersickie.com launches on Thursday 23rd January and is made up of three key areas to ensure viewers are prepped for the perfect sickie:

Get the perfect excuse – hosts a selection of six 24-hour “illnesses” created to help viewers make their chosen ailment sound realistic. It includes symptoms and links to sufferer support pages for each “illness” as evidence for HR as well as a hand written, downloadable and shareable sick note from the Super Sickie Service’s resident doctor, Dr Emil Pigskine PHD.
