Channel 4 today announces that hungryhouse.co.uk will sponsor all episodes of The Big Bang Theory on E4, representing the first time the online takeaway service has invested in TV sponsorship in the UK

The seven figure partnership will run for ten months starting Tuesday 2nd June on E4 and was brokered by Channel 4 Sales and MNC.

Wordley Production are responsible for the creative which demonstrates contextual links to The Big Bang Theory. The sponsorship idents depict a group of friends in an American style apartment ordering a takeaway using the hungryhouse app whilst the voiceover includes various scientific references such as “Online takeaway. Not rocket science”

The Big Bang Theory is one of E4’s biggest ever shows, with peak time episodes attracting an average audience of 2.1 million viewers per episode in 2015 to date. E4 is the biggest digital TV channel for share of 16-34 year old viewers with a share of 5.2% of the young demographic.

The partnership was negotiated by Luke Moore, Group Partnership Manager at Channel 4 and MNC Media Director Michael Nissim.
