The 2015 British Academy Scotland Awards winners were revealed last night, Sunday 15th November.

Objective Scotland’s two-part Channel 4 series It Was Alright in the 70s, which went out in November 2014 and looked at the TV during the decade that taste forgot, was named the Best Features/Factual Entertainment Show.

The award, presented by historian and author Neil Oliver, was accepted by Head of Objective Scotland, Toby Stevens alongside series editor Adam McLean and members of the production team.

Stevens thanked Channel 4, their Commissioning editor Kate Teckman, the Objective legal team and went on to say, “An amazing decade. Of course, what you take from the film is that we were way out of control, but the balancing side of that is that with Derek Griffiths and Trevor McDoanld and Floella Benjamin – it was beginning to change. And thank goodness it did. So well done to the 70s and thank you everyone.”

The prestigious ceremony, which celebrates excellence in film, television and games across Scotland, took place in Glasgow.
