The matching process

Category: News Release

Over 1500 people applied to take part in the series. The candidates then underwent a series of workshops, interviews, background checks and tests over several months using the latest psychological, anthropological and DNA techniques.

All of the candidates had to be previously unmarried and with no children. All needed to live within the M25 area to ensure that potential matches would also live nearby. All were free to withdraw at any time and leave the process.

After personality questionnaires were evaluated some clear matches emerged. A shortlist of applicants went on to further testing by the experts.

A huge amount of data was gathered about each individual. Attachment types were assessed; IQ tests were administered; body measurements taken; DNA samples studied and relationship histories gathered.

When all of the data was analysed any matches lower than 70% were discarded and 15 strong candidates emerged with particularly strong matches from within the pool of applicants.

The experts then took into account ‘deal breakers’ the things that each applicant had said they could not tolerate in a partner – i.e. smoking.

Three strong couples were identified with one scoring in the 100th percentile on personality – a highly significant match.
