More4 acquires Vet on the Hill

Category: News Release

More4 has acquired the premiere UK broadcasting rights to the heart-warming series set in Dr. Scott Miller’s Richmond Hill based veterinary clinic.

Vet on the Hill is a genuine insight into the highs and lows of a small grassroots practice – from the story of George the depressed donkey that needs a new home and Mable the rescue puppy, to Smitty the four-legged companion in desperate need of hip surgery. With the addition of a few famous faces that drop in for Dr. Scott’s help – there’s never a dull moment at the clinic.

Set in the quiet village of Richmond upon Thames, the series follows Dr. Scott in his day to day life at his veterinary clinic. From home visits full of surprises and trips to the local farm – the hustle and bustle of friendly regulars keeps him on his toes. His postcard perfect family, loyal customers and big heart will endear young and old alike.

A philanthropist and passionate animal advocate, Dr. Scott grew up and studied in Brisbane, Australia, beginning his career at the RSPCA in Sydney. He soon set his sights abroad, moving to the UK more than 10 years ago. Whilst working in East London, he began working regularly in media, hosting Extinct for Meridian, a programme highlighting endangered species while regularly appearing on BBC Breakfast News, The Paul O'Grady Show, GMTV, Blue Peter and CBBC. He appeared as an expert vet on BBC's Crufts, and was the regular vet on This Morning for six years. Later he featured on Sky 1's Pet Nation presenting items and filming insert VT's and most recently Scott was one of the lead presenters on children's programme, Who Let the Dogs Out and About for CBBC, a UK based roadshow which celebrated all things dog.

Daryl Talbot, CEO WTFN Entertainment says he’s delighted the series has been acquired by More4. “This is one of the most engaging shows we’ve produced and we’re thrilled that, as a result of this deal, Dr. Scott Miller will reach a legion of new fans. He certainly has a lot more stories to share.”

Vet on the Hill is distributed internationally by Fred Media.

The series is due to air on More4 in 2016.
