Night rainbow to celebrate launch of Cucumber, Banana and Tofu

London’s Trafalgar Square was bathed in colour last night as the UK’s first ever night rainbow lit up the evening sky. The enormous night rainbow was commissioned by Channel 4 to celebrate Russell T Davies’ new trio of shows Cucumber, Banana and Tofu which premiere on Channel 4, E4 and 4oD on Thursday this week and explore the passions and pitfalls of 21st century LGBT life.

The installation, created by greyworld, a renowned public arts group, measures 30 metres wide by 15 metres high and will be happening again this evening, 21st January 2015, between 5.30pm-8.30pm.

Cucumber (Channel 4) and Banana (E4) are two original drama series starring Vincent Franklin, Cyril Nri and Freddie Fox while Tofu (4oD) is an online documentary series that explores all facets of contemporary sex culture.
