Over 3m watch Cameron & Miliband live on Channel 4 and Sky News

Cameron & Miliband Live: The Battle for Number 10 attracted a peak audience of 3 million viewers (15.3% share of viewing) on Channel 4 last night and 387,000 on Sky News.
 
The live 90-minute programme was watched by an average audience of 2.6 million viewers (13% share of viewing) from 9-10.35pm on Channel 4 and a further 322, 000 viewers (1.6% share of viewing) on Sky News.
 
Channel 4 also attracted the highest share of 16 to 34 year old viewers (20%) watching TV during the time the programme was on air.
 
Channel 4’s election night anchor Jeremy Paxman interviewed both David Cameron and Ed Miliband individually in front of a studio audience; allowing viewers to hear directly from the two party leaders - one of whom is likely to be our next Prime Minister. Sky News presenter Kay Burley moderated as questions from the audience were put to the two leaders.
 
The programme also performed well on social channels, Cameron & Miliband: The Battle For Number 10 was the most Tweeted about TV programme of the day and became the second most Tweeted about programme so far this year with 530K tweets - 3,400 tweets per minute.

As well as #1 trend in UK for 12 hours  it also trended in 15 countries including UK, US, Ireland, Australia, Korea, Germany, Belgium, South Africa. 58, 000 people watched the show on Sky News’ You Tube Channel with an approx. peak at 20,000 and clips from the programme have already been watched over 400,000 times across Sky News’ Facebook and YouTube platforms.
