Roald Dahl’s Most Marvellous Book

Channel 4 brings a host of A-Listers together to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Roald Dahl’s birth.

Channel 4 has commissioned Talkback to make Roald Dahl’s Most Marvellous Book, a 90 minute celebration of Roald Dahl’s 10 best-selling children’s books that climaxes with the nation voting on their favourite.  The marvellous books in question include Dahl classics such as Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, The Witches, Matilda the Twits and many more.

Hosted by David Walliams the programme sees stars like Stephen Spielberg, Julie Walters, Richard Curtis, Mackenzie Crook, Jarvis Cocker, Johnny Vegas, Jessica Hynes and Miriam Margolyes each championing their favourite Dahl book ahead of the public vote. There is also footage of Rik Mayall’s iconic reading of George’s Marvellous Medicine.

Across the show, viewers will be giving their opinion via a Twitter vote, with the winning book being revealed in the final part of the show.
