Sarah Lazenby promoted to Commissioning Editor, Entertainment at C4

Channel 4 today confirmed the promotion of Sarah Lazenby to the post of Commissioning Editor for Entertainment. Lazenby joined Channel 4 as Editor, Entertainment in June 2015.

The move comes as the roles in the Factual Entertainment and Entertainment teams have been defined under the leadership of Head of Entertainment, Liam Humphreys.

Sarah will work under Head of Comedy Entertainment Ben Caudell and alongside Commissioning Editor, Entertainment, Syeda Irtizaali. Since joining Channel 4 series Sarah has overseen include Sex Box, Noel Fielding’s Only In Japan, Derren Brown’s Pushed To The Edge, Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Chatty Man and 15 to 1.

Sarah joined Channel 4 from CPL where she executive produced the Game of Thrones HBO World Premiere and the live entertainment chat show Thronecast for Sky Atlantic.

During her years at Talkback Sarah developed and Series Produced Keith Lemon’s LemonAid (ITV), Staying In With Greg & Russell (BBC Three) and helped develop the return of Through the Keyhole (ITV).

Previous series producer credits include Gordon Ramsay’s F Word (Optomen/Channel 4), Jamie’s Christmas Lock in (Fresh One/Channel 4) and helped develop the mash up night which spawned the first 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown (Zeppotron &ITV Studios/Channel 4).
