BEATRICE (6.1 & 6.2)

“Do you know what competitive means? It means you want to win at everything.”

Beatrice is an only child and lives in London with her mother Nancy who owns a fabric shop and her father Wallace, an estate agent.

Beatrice will be 7 in April next year (2016) making her the second youngest in the group; though you wouldn’t know it!

She is very bright and has lots of adult interests including PG Wodehouse and British history; in particularly the battles and monarchs. In addition to her love of history and reading, she also has three imaginary friends she plays with at home.

Quietly confident Beatrice is calm, measured and popular in the group, earning much respect from her peers. She is friends with everyone and loves to get involved in all the games. Beatrice’s most loyal friend is Elvin, who adores her and will do anything for her.

When she grows up, she wants to be a writer.

Kash (6.1 & 6.2)

“I’m the leader of the gang”

Kash is the baby of the family.  He lives in London with his mother Sarah, a hairdresser, his 14 year old brother Romero and his 17 year old sister Ria.

At school, Kash is everybody's friend and has several girlfriends. It’s important to him to be cool.

A confident and inquisitive member of the group, Kash tried valiantly to take on the role of leader from day one.

Despite his desire to be cool, he looks out for his peers and making sacrifices to help others.

Kash dreams of becoming a policeman and owning 60 dogs, just so he can have a loyal husky at his side. 

He is the youngest in the group.

“Kash is naughty, cheeky, mischievous, boisterous, amusing, loving, caring. He is an all-rounder, a ball of fun and a real character.” – Sarah, Mum.

 

ELVIN (6.1 & 6.2)

'We have to tell the truth' 

Elvin is an only child and lives with his mum Caroline and Dad Samuel. They are originally from Uganda.

He is a bright, chatty boy who is obsessed with trains and buses. He has visited the London transport museum 8 times.

Elvin is 6 and a half, which is the average age in the group.

During his time in the group, Elvin’s caring approach, his infectious excitement and highly-motivated attitude towards new challenges made him a popular and a positive influence amongst his peers. He played well with everyone in particular Beatrice, whom he adored.

Elvin emerges as a considered and natural leader, commanding respect from his peers. He has a very strong sense of morals and justice.

ELOUISA (6.1 & 6.2)

'I want to be a cow girl'

Elouisa lives in North London with her mum Anneliese, her Pastor dad, Ashley and her younger brothers; 4 year old Sebastian and 1 year old Leo. 

She is the second youngest in the group and turned 6 during filming.

Elouisa has a happy, outgoing and quirky personality and was popular with both the boys and the girls, and showed lots of imagination. She possesses good communication skills and demonstrated a great social competence when dealing with her peers than might be expected from a child of her age.  During her time within the group, Elouisa showed a good ability to understand others and often used humour and strategy to assert herself.

“I think she is very good at putting herself in other people’s shoes, she really thinks about what the other person might be thinking and feeling, she takes that right to heart.”  Elouisa’s Parents

 

CAITLYN (6.1 & 6.2)

"Some things just don’t turn out okay, do they?"

Caitlyn is a creative and feisty middle child. Her parents are separated and she lives in London with her Online Developer mum, Kylie and her brothers Eoghan (9 years old) and Malachy (4 years old).

She is six and half which is average age in the group.

Despite her petite size, Caitlyn is far from a shrinking violet; she has a loud voice and is not shy to speak her mind.

During her stay, she always showed tenacity and determination that her views and opinions should be heard, but also kindness in her interactions with others.

LEILA (6.2) 

“I want to be a singer and when I'm not singing, a makeup artist”  

Leila lives in London with her mum Jacqui, who is an Educational Psychologist and her dad Deji, a manager at a Further Education College.  She has a younger sister called Suri who is 3 years old. 

During her time in the group she formed a strong friendship with Caitlyn and they played together all week, and formed a girls’ club.

She is confident and chatty and also showed that she could be caring and kind to the other children, but also assertive when necessary in discussions; sharing and defending her ideas appropriately.

Leila is one of the oldest in the group.

“Leila is quite a girlie girl but loves playing outside as well.”  Jacqui, Mum

 

Poppy (6.2)

 

“I can do a self-five, it’s a bit like a clap really. Wooh, self-five!”

 

Poppy is an only child and lives in Plymouth with her mum Francesca, a Youth Worker and her dad, Tom who owns a plumbing business.

 

Poppy is 6 and a half which makes her about average for the group.

 

Poppy has a whole host of interests and enjoys trains just as much as playing princesses. She also loves nothing more than going to nearby Dartmoor to enjoy the nature. Poppy recently performed with her cheerleading club in front of 2000 people.

 

During her stay, Poppy was a happy and active member of the group, a valued friend and a positive influence of her peers. She demonstrated flexibility of mind-set, an ability to voice and share her ideas, and to make her voice heard when tackling team challenges.
