Helen is heading to Leicester, her first choice University, after taking a gap year after College. She didn’t know what she wanted to do so she thought a stint in the real world would be a nice change from education. She also wanted to take advantage of spending the year living with her parents as she knows that once she moves out it will never be the same.

Helen is just like any normal teenager, she thinks she probably drinks too much and parties too long but “that’s just what you do at her age”.

Helen is looking forward to being more independent though she’s slightly nervous about making new friends. She’s been in the same bubble for a long time and has not always been the most social but she hopes that her budding baking skills will help win over her new flatmates.

Helen sees university as a chance to try new things and is interested in joining the burlesque society “I’ve always wanted to learn how to dance, and I love the vintage clothes”.
