Jamie Brittain
Co-Creator/Writer (Episode 2 & 7)
After studying English Literature at King's College London, Jamie began to collaborate with Bryan Elsley on the creation of ‘Skins'. As co-creator, Jamie has written episodes on all five series'.
Sean Buckley
Writer (Episode 1 & 8)
Born in Balham, South London, Sean studied drama at Ecole Jaques Lecoq in Paris. Sean's first play, ‘Matches for Monkey's' was joint winner of the Verity Bargate Award and other plays include 'Stone Baby' for Radio 3's The Wire and 'Between Dog and Wolf' for ‘Paines Plough'.
Sean was 2007 Pearson Writer-in-Residence with The Royal Shakespeare Company. He recently wrote the one-off drama ‘Foreign John' for Channel 4's 'Coming Up' new talent strand which was broadcast Sept 2009. This is his second year writing for Skins after previously writing ‘Freddie' for series four.
Georgia Lester
Writer (Episode 3)
Georgia Lester joined the Skins Writers Group in series two. She co-wrote ‘Pandora' for series three and wrote ‘Katie' for series four. She has also written an Unseen Skins online special for series two. She has also worked on the writing team for Channel 4's soap ‘Hollyoaks'.
Georgia is part of Hampstead Theatre's Youth Theatre and has been involved in various new writing initiatives there, including Daring Pairings New Writing Festival. She has also recently completed the Royal Court Young Writers Program.
Ed Hime
Writer (Episode 4)
Ed joined Skins from series 4 writing the episode ‘Emily. Ed was Writer in Residence at Hampstead Theatre in 2002. Previous theatre work includes 'About the Boy' at the Royal Court Young Writer's Festival and 'London Toungue/London Falls' at the Old Red Lion. His first radio play, ‘The Incomplete Recorded Works of a Dead Body' won the 2007 Prix Italia award for Best Original Radio Drama. His second, 'Listen to the Words', won Best Original Drama at the 2008 BBC A&M awards.
Geoff Bussetil
Writer (Episode 5)
Geoff Bussetil joined the Skins Writers Group this series. Earlier this year he wrote Half Term, a short film for Channel Four's new writing series Coming Up. Before writing full time Geoff worked in script development for the BBC and various independent production companies. He has also written features for Peapie and Working Title films that are currently in development.
Daniel Lovett
Writer (Episode 6)
Daniel Lovett was first introduced to Skins by winning the E4 "Skins Needs You" competition for young writers and consequently writing the short film "Brink". He joined the Skins Writers group as a young contributor at the beginning of series four before going on to write two of the "Unseen Skins" shorts for the same series.
Laura Hunter
Junior Writer/ Contributor
Laura joined the Skins Writers Group this series as a junior writer/contributor. She is currently working on the Skins online blogs for this series and profiles characters for series six.
