Sneak peak at Vet on the Hill

Category: News Release

Here's a clip from tonight's episode of Vet on the Hill - which premiere's at 9pm on More4.

Vet on the Hill follows charismatic Australian vet Dr Scott Miller at work in his surgery in south-west London, giving a genuine insight into the highs and lows of life at a grassroots veterinary practice. In the first episode, Scott's oldest patient, 21-year-old Rudi the cat, needs a huge mass removed from her ear, but any general anaesthetic at her age is a big risk. Bam Bam is a sweet, shaggy rescue dog until he sees a vet, at which point he turns into a dangerous monster. Head veterinary nurse Emma wonders whether she will emerge unscathed from the encounter. Buppy the 13-year-old Chihuahua suffers from diabetes and Scott is concerned about the condition of his liver. How will his owner cope with some shocking test results? Little Papa the rabbit is one of the stars at an East London petting farm but has a problem with freakishly large teeth that make it difficult for him to eat. Scott takes him home to meet his family. Meanwhile, vet nurse Gemma has given up a glamorous career as a fashion designer to pursue her love of animals. Among her little menagerie at home is Hetty the hedgehog, who lost an eye after being attacked by a fox and will never be able to return to the wild. But when Gemma brings Hetty into the practice for a heath check, it seems her prickly customer may have had a little too much of the good life.
