The Trials of Troy

In this one off special, the magician will be set a seemingly impossible challenge: to create a jaw dropping illusion that combines magic with a death-defying stunt.

 

Troy will have no idea what the challenge is until the clock starts ticking. He will then have just two months to prepare himself for the biggest and most terrifying magical illusion of his life. 

 

In order to be successful he will have to learn new skills that will push the magician into unfamiliar territory.

 

To help him achieve his goal Troy will assemble a crack team of magician friends to perfect the challenge, shining a light on the process of magic and the lengths that performers will go to in order create a 'moment of wonder'.

 

27 year old Londoner Troy is best known for his two series of street magic for E4, the first series was E4’s biggest launch of a commissioned series for 5 years.

The Trials of Troy has been commissioned by Liam Humphreys, Head of Entertainment at Channel 4 and Sarah Lazenby, Commissioning Editor, Entertainment at Channel 4 and is being produced by Derren Brown's Vaudeville Productions. It will be Executive Produced by Derren Brown, Andrew O’Connor and Martin Turner.
