Saturday 19th October 2013 - 1.30pm to 4.30pm

The QIPCO British Champions Series is poised to come to a thrilling conclusion at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 19th October with the richest day of horse racing ever staged in Britain – and it will be shown live by Channel 4 Racing.

The third annual QIPCO British Champions Day is the climax of a 35-race series at ten British racecourses which began at Newmarket in May with the first Classic race of the season, the QIPCO 2,000 Guineas and concludes with 5 Championship races worth a record-breaking £3.4 million being contested at the finale.

A stellar international cast of equine stars is set to line up on the day, with one horse looking to inherit the crown won last year by Frankel, one of the greatest thoroughbred racehorses of all time, by winning the £1.3million QIPCO Champion Stakes at 4.05pm.

There are five Championship categories and all five finals will be broadcast for the first time ever live on Channel 4 which begins its coverage at 8am on Saturday 19th October with The Morning Line.  Three hours of afternoon racing starts at 1.30pm presented by Clare Balding, Nick Luck, Jim McGrath, Graham Cunningham, Mick Fitzgerald, Emma Spencer, Tanya Stevenson, Brian Gleeson and Simon Holt.
