Twenty-seven-year-old raver Alec from Nottinghamshire loves nothing more than spending his weekends hitting the local clubs.  Fun loving, caring and warm, he’s a huge fan of hardcore music, dancing and dayglow rave paint.  

 

Alec dreams of finding a girl to spend the rest of his life with - “I want to find my soulmate, I want to settle down… it’s every boy’s dream to have a kid of their own”.  He has Saethre Chotzen Syndrome a rare genetic condition characterised by the fusion of cranial features. He finds it hard to approach girls as he worries that they’ll be put off by the way he looks “I’ve had people call me … dickhead, Quazimodo – it’s hard for me to approach a girl coz of the way I look. I always think they’re not going to like me”.

 

Alec was extremely close to his mother, who passed away of cancer three years ago. As a child, and young adult, he had to undergo dozens of operations and she was the one who was always at his bedside when he woke up.  He yearns to find someone who can fill the vacuum she left behind - “I’d love to meet someone who loves me and cares for me… and to make my mother proud”.

 

Too nervous to approach girls himself, Alec turns to a dating agency for help.  They need to set up a profile for him which includes a photo, and old worries surface again - “it does make you nervous that someone will be looking at you and judging you on your picture and not your soul”

 

Will love blossom with either twenty-four-year-old research scientist Charlie?
