The Undateables: Chris bio

Category: News Release

Twenty-three-year-old Christian from Manchester. Covered in tattoos, a talented basketball player, popular and charming, he’s looking for a meaningful relationship “love is a special feeling, a connection and that’s what I’m searching for”.

Two years ago Christian was a lad about town, with a well-paid job as an electrician and several girls on the go. Then in 2012, at the age of twenty-one, Christian had a motorbike accident which changed his life forever. He was going to work one day with a rucksack overloaded with tools, and the next thing he remembers is waking up face down in the dirt with his arms pinned underneath him. He’d severed his spine and, in hospital, was told that he’d never walk again. He is paralysed from the chest down.

Since his accident, Christian’s approach to love and dating has changed. No longer interested in playing the field and he now wants someone to love and settle down with, and perhaps one day, get married to.   But he worries that his wheelchair might put girls off -“you don’t see a girl going I really want a guy in a wheelchair – that’s not everyone’s dream guy”.

When he meets, twenty-six-year-old photographer Natalie, will his nerves take hold and ruin his chances, or will they bond over their shared love of tattoos?
