Walking the Nile: First look clips

Channel 4’s 2015 kicks off with adventure in the new four-part series, Walking the Nile (Sunday 4 January, 9pm, Channel 4). The series follows British explorer Levison Wood on his epic journey along the length of the River Nile, from its source in Rwanda to the Mediterranean Sea. His seven million step journey takes him through jungles, savannah, deserts, cities and war zones in some of Africa’s most remote and spectacular locations. Along the way, he encounters modern Africa, its people and its wildlife face-to-face and at ground level.

A film crew follows Levison for part of the expedition but he films most of it himself, capturing extraordinary, intimate moments rarely seen on screen.
