If you watch very carefully, in every episode of Time Team, you can see Tony Robinson putting prized artefacts into his pocket. This is because his nephew has an archaeology museum in Whitstable.

Ironically, Richard Bacon, presenter of Hidden Talent, doesn't like bacon. However, he does like Swedish pop group Roxette.

Queen Victoria (Wednesday) was named after the underground line. She named the 60th celebration of her reign after the Jubilee Line. Original plans were to call it her Diamond Hammersmith and City.

In real life, Alan Carr hates conversation, and will only communicate using samphire. Or is it semaphore?

Star of Bridesmaids and The IT Crowd Chris O'Dowd and his fiancée, TV presenter and journalist Dawn Porter join the latest pairs of contestants for the last in the current run of The Million Pound Drop Live. Secrets of the Saxon Gold: A Time Team Special

In July 2009, amateur metal detectorist Terry Herbert found an Anglo-Saxon treasure hoard worth over £3 million in a Staffordshire field. The hoard was saved for the nation by Stoke on Trent and Birmingham Museums, who, with the aid of a lottery grant and public donations, purchased it jointly. Two years ago Channel 4 told the story of the discovery of these golden, richly jewelled objects. Now, with the initial phase of the post-excavation process nearing completion, archaeologists are beginning to unlock the secrets of the hoard.

Hidden Talent is a new six-part series which discovers people with extraordinary hidden talents they never dreamed they had. Hundreds of randomly selected people are put through a series of tests to identify those with hidden abilities and nine participants discover if they can go from being a total novice to a top-class performer in record time. Presenter Richard Bacon follows their progress, uncovering the amazing science that enables these individuals to achieve what others can only dream of. The first episode focuses on rock climbing and lie detection.

Queen Victoria's Last Love

In 1897, Queen Victoria celebrated her Diamond Jubilee - the first British monarch to do so. But beyond the grand celebrations on London's streets a war was raging between Victoria and her court over her relationship with her Indian servant, Abdul Karim. A crisis point was reached in the summer of 1897 in a dramatic confrontation between the Queen and her family, which threatened to plunge the Diamond Jubilee celebrations into chaos. The film features interviews with relatives of both Victoria's household and Abdul Karim, as well as extracts from her diaries and journals.
