Introduction

In Reality & Entertainment we commission award-winning, channel defining unscripted content across Channel 4, E4 and streaming, working with an array of new and established talent both on and off-screen. Our growing slate covers everything from the live madness and mayhem of Late Night Lycett to the topical satire of The Last Leg, to bold bingeable reality formats like Scared of the Dark, Tempting Fortune and Celebs Go Dating. We are the home of gold standard comedy entertainment formats like Taskmaster, I Literally Just Told You and 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown. On the more factual side of entertainment we delight in making noise and disruption with singles like Joe Lycett Vs David Beckham to important timely documentaries like Rosie Jones: Am I a R*tard? and Rhod Gilbert: A Pain in the Neck as well as self-authored comedic adventures in One Night In … and Carry on Glamping with Johnny Vegas.

We will take a look at all ideas sent to that email address. We believe it is by far the most efficient way for you to get your idea seen by us. If you have an established relationship with a commissioning editor in the team please do continue to pitch to them, but please try to refrain from pitching the same idea to different commissioning editors as we all share the ideas we are pitched.

If you pitch us an idea that you have already pitched to another department in C4, please tell us.

Following a restructure of the Reality & Entertainment department we are reviewing our commissioning strategy and will be publishing detailed guidance on our commissioning priorities here soon.

Please note that we are a publisher Broadcaster and we do not produce programmes at Channel 4. We commission production companies to make our programmes, therefore we only accept ideas from Pact registered production companies, as they hold the Intellectual Property rights. If you are sending an idea that is not from a Pact registered company, or you are a member of the public, we suggest contacting a relevant production company with your idea and they can submit it on your behalf.
