No, you can't skip adverts. Channel 4 content is free to watch because we are an advertiser-funded broadcaster. As a government-owned, not for profit organisation, the revenue we make from advertising doesn't go to shareholders, it goes back into making more programmes.

On the channel4.com website
When you are logged in you will see 'My 4' in the navigation menu at the top of the page. By clicking on 'My 4', a menu beneath this will open up, giving you a link to sign out.
On the iPhone and iPad app
To check if you are logged in go to the “Settings” page via the cog on the main menu of the iPad, or via the menu on the iPhone. If you are logged in you will see your display name at the top of the page.
On the Android app
To check if you are logged in, open the menu at the top of the screen. If you are logged in you will see your display name at the top of the menu.
On Smart TVs, Games Consoles and Set Top Boxes
When you are logged in you will see your display name at the top of the page. Next to your display name there will be links to 'manage Your account' and to 'log out'.

Log in to channel4.com and click on 'My 4' in the top navigation bar. Select the 'Account settings' link. Select the 'Edit Details' link from the Personal Details section. From here you can change your title, first and surname, display name, email address, gender and home address. Finally, once you have made all your changes, select the 'Save' button.

Channel 4 must acquire specific rights to screen programmes on demand. Therefore, it can't be guaranteed that all programmes or series will be available via all devices which carry Channel 4 streaming.

Adverts unsuitable for children and young people are only served in advert breaks of content unlikely to appeal to children. This is in line with scheduling guidance from Clearcast. Clearcast is the industry body that assesses adverts against the UK Code of Broadcast Advertising (the BCAP Code - https://www.asa.org.uk/codes-and-rulings/advertising-codes/broadcast-code.html), which sets out what is and isn’t permitted.

The minimum operating requirements for each platform are described below.
Accessing online at www.channel4.com
In order to watch you will need:- A laptop or desktop with a currently supported version of Microsoft Windows or Apple macOS.
- An internet connection
- And one of our recommended browsers:

- Microsoft Edge (latest version)
- Safari (latest version)

The Channel 4+ functionality allows you to watch the majority of content without ads and/or other commercial messages. Please be aware that for licensing reasons some content will not be subject to the enhanced Channel 4+ functionality, and may still contain ads, other commercial messages and or promotional trails for other programmes.

Select Settings from the YouView Menu on your remote control. Scroll down to the Parental Controls area, select Restrict Rated Programmes. You can now choose to restrict adult channels/categories and programmes -
Channel 4 streaming is not available on the LG 2020 model, but can be accessed on the LG 2021 model or via a number of other devices and platforms, such as Freeview, Roku/Now TV, PS 3/4, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Virgin and Sky.
