Unfortunately Channel 4 no longer supports Android devices on operating systems below Android 5.0 and are therefore unable to provide updates for users on these devices.

The app is available for download if your device is running the Android operating system 5.0 and above. If you are on an operating system below this (i.e. 4.4 or below), you will not be able to download the app. If you are on operating system 4.4 or below and already have the app, please note that this version of the app is not supported and will not function properly. We encourage these users to upgrade their version of Android in order to get the best possible experience.

We allow you to download to SD card. In order to take advantage of this feature you need to be on app version 6.4.13 or above, and you will need to toggle this ON within the settings in the app. You will then have to set the storage from “internal” to “external” and ensure that there is sufficient space available on the SD card to be able to take advantage of this feature.

In order to delete a downloaded programme you need go to the Downloaded page and then press the item. Do this by touching and holding your finger next to the episode information. The entire episode cell will be highlighted. To delete the item, simply click on the trash can icon that appears on the top right corner.

If you find that you are suddenly unable to playout video, this might be due to other applications using the same resources in your phone. You might be able to watch content again by closing any other open apps and/or rebooting your device.

Accessing online at www.channel4.com
In order to watch you will need:- A laptop or desktop with a currently supported version of Microsoft Windows or Apple macOS.
- An internet connection
- And one of our recommended browsers:

- Safari (latest version)

Channel 4+ is available across all devices and the same minimum requirements as accessing the Channel 4 app apply. The download service is available for iOS and Android supported devices only. If you are able to get the app on your iOS or Android device then you will be able to download content - provided you have enough space on your device, you are signed in and have access to WiFi.
In addition, iPhone and iPad now support downloading over 3G/4G.
