Currently the app cannot be turned into landscape mode other than during playback. We are also currently unable to support playback in portrait mode.

C4 Streaming has been built according to best practice to support users with cognitive impairments. For example, logical and consistent navigation is provided, text and language is as simple as possible to understand. We offer the ability to pause moving imagery within Homepage promotions and on the Live TV page. We test the app with the DAC (Digital Accessibility Centre) who provide feedback from users with dyslexia and other cognitive impairments. We are also compatible with colour inversion on most mobile devices.

We have a curated signed collection, available on all streaming platforms, containing some of our most popular shows with British Sign Language interpretation. This is available from the homepage on most platforms or by going to channel4.com/signed, or searching the word 'signed' within the platform.
Signed programmes or episodes feature a BSL icon as part of their main image.
We are adding new titles to this collection all the time, as well as looking to improve the navigation to these programmes. -
The iOS app supports screen zoom in the OS accessibility settings.
On Android, Zoom options may depend on your OS version and manufacturer.

Channel 4 supports sign in via QR code across all platforms with the exception of Roku and Amazon Fire.

Channel 4 Streaming supports Voiceover on tvOS. We are working towards screen reader compatibility on our other Smart TVs and our Games Console apps.

Audio Description is currently available on tvOS, Roku and Now TV devices. We are working towards AD availability on our other Smart TV and Games Console apps. Our C4 Streaming website and mobile apps also support Audio Description.
Where available, Audio Description is represented by an 'AD' icon next to an episode. Select the '*' on your remote control for accessibility services on Roku and Now TV and to enable Audio Description during a programme. An 'Audio Described' category is available within the Channel 4 app on Roku and Now TV devices.
Across the Channel4 Streaming platforms which support Audio Description, around 40% of our programme hours have this service available, and we’re adding new titles all the time.
